I’m baaack. Sorry that sounded a little creepy. But I am in for the night (it’s a Friday night, and I honestly just want to watch the Olympics and get a good night sleep!). Does this mean I’m getting old? My friend and I went on a walk from my house to the Santa Barbara Pier, where a couple of our other friends already were hanging out at the beach. Thankfully we hitched a ride back home from the pier since the walk there was 4 miles and I was not up for an 8 mile walk today. When we got to the pier, I couldn’t help but notice how many people had their dogs with them. It made me miss my babies at home in the Bay area
This is Sophie, aka Princess Sophia. She is one of my four dogs and is like an alive teddy bear. Look at that face! The cutest dog I saw at the pier was sitting outside of an ice cream parlor on a leash and I just had to stop and play with him for a solid ten minutes.
Adorable huh? After our walk and getting dropped off back at my house, we sat down for dinner that my roommates boyfriend had been slaving away at for the past couple hours.
Barbecued spare ribs and chicken breasts, wild orzo pasta salad with sun dried tomatoes and pine nuts, and a green salad dressed with glazed pecans and a balsamic vinaigrette. I had a little of each and it was ohsogood. I love bbqs on a warm summer night!
After dinner my friend left and the rest of us kept watching the Olympics. I was craving something sweet but didn’t want a heavy dessert. Solution: fruit!
Little bits of pineapple. Yum. I also may have had a handful of dark chocolate chips as well
Night erryone, talk to you in the AM
